Really great service and amazing food. Prices are a bit high, but it's expected on the Newport Coast.

The best, what else would you expect? I came here for a birthday celebration and we had A-class service plus world-class food. The service was amazing, not just helpful but extremely personable. The food was outstanding; we had the seafood tower, went for the 22oz bone-in Ribeye (mine was perfect but one other guy had one more bloody than her ordered) and the cake. I was really impressed with the overall experience! Be prepared to spend some $$$ but it'll be worth it I promise

Love Maestro's! Came here for a company party but would love to come back on my own with my fiancee. The steaks were cooked to perfection, and the lobster bisque was to die for. If you love a good ole fashioned surf and turf, than I would hesitate recommending this place for an occasion that calls for something...classier than your average night out.

Enjoyed a business dinner here on a crowded Saturday night. Ambiance is elegant and understated. The wait staff wears white dinner jackets and white bow ties. They open the windows allowing for fresh ocean breezes. Pros: Exquisite appetizers, shrimp scampi had a spicy and garlickly mix. Mussels were fresh in a tasty broth. Bread selection was diverse and plenty. Well made Diet Roy Rogers. Scallops had a delightful sauce and very sweet meat. The butter cake with a cappucino created a delicious melange of fat from the cake and acid from the coffee. Head waiter was energetic and courteous. Cons:The escargot was too viscous and mucous and lacked flavor. The duo lobster dipped in vanilla batter lacked seasoning. The waiter that handled clearing the crumbs and dessert was pushy and rude.

If you get the seafood tower. Go for shrimps or claws only . We got the kings crab legs and snow crab legs ...horrible. cold ..no flavor . Very blend ..we ended up not eating it. Was not cheap. Not worth it. Not good quality and over priced. French fries was soggy and cold. Drinks were average . I think the place is over priced for food that is mediocre. Service was good. And the vibe and energy was good.

Service here is always top notch! A vast selection of wines and cocktails, not to mention the FOOD is out of this world. I myself enjoy the steak* here. The tomahawk to be specific... I never had a bad steak here. The Dungeness crab cocktail is the perfect size appetizer. If your military you also get a very generous discount! Call about it and ask, it’s definitely worth the ask.

Had a great meal at Mastro's with my family. The steaks were top notch and everything else was tasty. It's very pricey, but if you're going to Mastro's, you probably already know that. The service was fine, nothing amazing, but not bad either. The restaurant itself is a little noisy, but has a cool interior with an open, outdoor area in the middle. Additionally, the live music was great.

One word - Fabulous! Amazing food, service and ambiance. We had lobster roll and heirloom tomato & burrata salad as appetizers, followed by Chilean seabass and dover sole for entrees with asparagus for a side. Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection.The highlight of the dinner was lobster roll. Fresh, light, yet filling. Next time I'll probably just choose it for my entree. Butter cake for dessert is a bit too sweet and heavy per my taste, but I thoroughly enjoyed berries, ice cream and whip that came with it. Look forward to coming back to this beautiful place.

Should have reserved seats not in the lounge. Was not the Best Experience, not enough room in the lounge even with reservations. It was more like a club atmosphere. The food was mediocre but could have been caused by the crowd on Christmas evening.

It's Mastro's. What else can I add? The steaks are beautiful. The people are noteworthy. And the other way around!

Checked out the location in Newport as I had some friends in from out of town. We didn't have reservations but we were able to land seats at the smaller bar area next to the open air patio. The bartender, Mike, was a great host and was a frequent part of our conversation. I don't have to say anything about the food because the Mastro name guarantees that whatever you order, you can't go wrong. I am partial to the Beverly Hills location though because of the higher end ambience but this location is definitely cool for a chill night with friends.

Love this place.. it's got a great laid back vibe.. even when busy. The waitresses who served us were spot on.. they gauged all the customers needs around us.. as well as us, and service was adapted appropriately.

Ambiance was amazing a bit loud but expected on a Saturday evening...food was amazing..would recommend

OHHHH MYYYY goodness the food was so good! Fried calamari, sauteed scallops, garlic lobster mash potatoes and 32oz tomahawk steak ❤❤ our server Vincent and Abraham were amazing. Celebrated our 15 year anniversary we received complementary butter cream cake!! Yes it's pricey but great atmosphere, great services and amazing quality food.

My steak melted in my mouth, the mussels were delicious as well! The ambiance is fabulous despite how crowded it gets! The live music makes the experience beyond just a bougie sitting dinner.

The second you walk into the restaurant, the staff are welcoming and helpful. Prices are obviously higher than your average steak house but it’ll be the best steak you’ve ever eaten. Great views of Crystal Cove Beach and my waitress was extremely kind. Also, be sure to try their famous Butter Cake!

We celebrated our 49th wedding anniversary here! The meal was delicious ! The dining experience was awesome!

Hosted by Cristiana, we felt more comfortable and at home than at any other fine dining restaurant. It’s an experience to repeat whenever there’s a chance. You will never regret. We were here for a company event. Rachel our server was top notch. She was super attentive. The food was 5 star and the support staff was excellent. Thank you for an evening that is memorable for years to come. Bravo.

Favorite place to go for a celebratory dinner or a fine night in Newport Beach with out of town guests. Awesome steaks, the butter cake is THE BEST, and you can even see the ocean from the restaurant. Service is attentive, delicious various bread, beautiful drinks... fine dining doesn't get much better than this

The food was really good. Steak not as tender as I expected it to be. The salmon wasn't great. May be not really fresh. Nice atmosphere. Just not that great for the price.

Celebrated our anniversary at this place. Steak is awesome and it was served pretty fast. Funny thing is our appetizer came out at the same time with the entree so thats a bit weird. Nonetheless, liked the atmosphere and vibe. We were seated facing the ocean but it was pitch dark so really has no view. The over head heater did help warm us up since we were sitting kind of in a patio/porch area. The food portion is way too big for us we ended up packing most of our food and neither of us was able to finish our steaks. It was worth the price though.

Wonderful staff as well as amazing food! The singing duet was incredible as well.

Mastro's restaurant is one of the best, if not the best steak restaurants for which we have dined. Professional staff, excellent menu and elegant interior. So many fantastic menu options that it is difficult to recommend any favorites. Great for those who want something other than steak, also. We try to dine here whenever we visit the LA area.
